The Deal

Charlie (William H. Macy), an unlucky movie producer, convinces a studio to sponsor a $100 million movie, with a star in the lead role. However, when the lead actor is kidnapped, Charlie, with little chance of recovering his already frayed reputation, decides to take a risk and make a totally different movie, using the studio’s money, and of course without being accountable to the executives. In this trick, he has the help of Deidre (Meg Ryan), an influential executive in the world of cinema. And together they will live a comical and exciting quest for fame.
